About the role The HR Manager owns people operations for the Corpshore Samarkand site. You lead hiring at scale, onboarding, employee relations, payroll and benefits, and full compliance with Uzbekistan labor law as the site grows from its first campaign toward 100 or more staff. This is a senior local role for an experienced HR leader fluent in Uzbek, Russian, and English. What you will do - Own the full employee lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, performance, and offboarding. - Lead workforce planning with Operations as the site scales across campaigns. - Manage payroll, benefits, contracts, and HR records with accuracy and confidentiality. - Own compliance with Uzbekistan labor law, IT Park residency requirements, and internal policy. - Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary processes fairly and by the book. - Build and run retention, engagement, and wellness programs, including support for content moderation teams. - Partner with Group HR on policy, reporting, and standards. What we are looking for - At least 4 years of HR experience, with at least 2 in a supervisory or managerial HR role. - Direct experience with Uzbekistan labor law, payroll, and compliance. - Experience scaling teams in BPO, contact center, or a high growth environment preferred. - Bachelor degree required, an HR certification is an asset. - Uzbek at native or near-native level for labor code and payroll compliance. - Russian at B2 or above, and English at B2 or above. - Sound judgment, discretion, and strong people leadership. Location and engagement Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Full time employee on an indefinite contract under Uzbekistan labor law. Reports to the General Manager, with cross reporting to Corpshore Group HR. Pre-employment screening Offers are conditional on screening including a criminal background check through the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, education and employment verification, identity and right to work checks, drug screening, and a financial integrity reference check. Candidates with prior criminal convictions are not eligible.
